“Call Me Bae” by Jimin feat. Xiumin – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our first for March 2016. Also sorry for skipping a week but we were over in England.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past week or so, however we’ve chosen the release by Jimin (from AOA) featuring Xiumin (from EXO). The song is titled “Call Me Bae” and it was released this past Tuesday March 2nd. In that short it’s already been viewed over 1.3million times on the 1theK YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Call Me Bae” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is great with strong rapping and vocals by both artists.
• Secondly the video is fun and tells a cute little story.
• Finally Jimin is one of the key and most popular members of AOA and therefore she should be able to hold her own as a solo artist.
• On the negative side; The titled is Call Me Bae, Baby or Babe? It’s not really clear.
