Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our fourth for March 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past week or so, however we’ve chosen the new release by Amber. The song is titled “Borders” and it was released this past Thursday March 24th. In that short time it’s already been viewed just short of 1million times the SMTOWN YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Borders” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is powerful and allows Amber to display her range and move away from her f(x) typecast.
- Secondly the video tells a powerful story and is pieced together nicely.
- Finally Amber is a key member of the group f(x), however has proven herself to be a popular solo artist.
- On the negative side; it’s in English and aimed more at the international market, therefore domestically it might not do so well.
