“One of These Nights” by Red Velvet – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our first for March 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past week or so, however we’ve chosen the new release by Red Velvet. The song is titled “One of These Nights” and it was released back on Wednesday March 16th. In that time it’s been viewed over 5.5million times the SMTOWN YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “One of These Nights” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is powerful and more serious. It’s a nice move away from their previous bubblegum releases.
• Secondly the video has a great flow to it moving from scene to scene fantastically.
• Finally Red Velvet seem to have lived up to their hype and are now established A-List KPOP Stars.
• On the negative side; the video resolution seems to be low and a little blurry. Maybe for effect but it seems a little unnecessary.
