K League Classic 2016 League Table Update

K League Classic 2016 Round 4 Previews & Predictions

K League Classic 2016 Round 4 bannerThis round of games take place on Saturday (3) and Sunday (3). All of the games take place in the afternoon. Here are our brief previews and predictions for the 4th round of 2016 K League Classic games;

Saturday April 9th 2016:

Sangju Sangmu vs. Suwon City (2pm)

Sangju Sangmu won their opening game of the season, however since then they’ve lost 2 on the bounce. Suwon City on the other hand have started their first ever season in the top tier of Korean Football with 2 draws and a win last weekend. Suwon will have the slight edge here.
Prediction: 1 – 2

Gwangju vs. Ulsan Hyundai (2pm)

Gwangju have started the season inconsistently with one win, one draw and a defeat. Ulsan Hyundai have the exact same record and are only below Gwangju on the table due to goal difference. These sides are evenly matched and therefore a draw seems like the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1

Incheon United vs. Seongnam FC (4pm)

Incheon United are currently bottom of the league without a point from their opening 3 games, they also have the leagues worst defensive record. Seongnam FC are almost polar opposites sitting at the top of the table with 7 points from their opening 3 games. Seongnam will be favorites here but might not win by a landslide.
Prediction: 0 – 1

Sunday April 10th 2016:

Jeonnam Dragons vs. FC Seoul (2pm)

Jeonnam Dragons picked up a couple of points from draws in their first 2 games but lost last weekend on the road vs. Ulsan. FC Seoul have 2 wins from 3 with the other being a defeat at the hands of reigning champions Jeonbuk Hyundai. FC Seoul will be favorites here, but could be a little tired from champions league action during the week.
Prediction: 0 – 2

Pohang Steelers vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai (2pm)

Pohang have had an indifferent start to the 2016 season with a win, a draw and a defeat to their record. Reigning champions for the past 2 seasons Jeonbuk Hyundai have 7 points from their opening 3 games, but have only scored 3 times in 3 league games. This one will be close but entertaining. A draw seems the likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1

Jeju United vs. Suwon Bluewings (4pm)

Jeju United have only 1 win from their first 3 games losing the other two (but away from home). Suwon Bluewings have also been average so far this season picking up 4 points, but they did win for the first time last weekend. Jeju are generally strong at home and so we’re giving them a slim edge in this one.
Prediction: 1 – 0
