Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our third for April 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past week or so, however we’ve chosen the debut release by NCT U. The song is titled “The 7th Sense” and it was released on YouTube last Friday April 8th, and in that time it’s been viewed over 4million times on the SMTOWN YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “The 7th Sense” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a cool and often relaxed hip-hop beat and solid Justin Timberlake style vocals and rapping from start to finish.
- Secondly the video simple and artist. It also gives each member a point in the spotlight.
- Finally NCT or NCT U which stands for Neo Culture Technology, is a new group that have already developed a lot of hype and fandom.
- On the negative side; it’s maybe a little similar to other KPOP Boy Bands releases and lacks a little usp.
