Saturday May 28th 2016:
Seongnam FC vs. Incheon United (2pm)
Seongnam have had a strong season so far and are currently sitting 3rd on the table. They’ve won 3 of their last 4 games, partly thanks to league top scorer Tiago Alves. On the other hand you have Incheon United who’ve not won all season. Vietnamese signing Lương Xuân Trường played last weekend, but that made no difference as Incheon lost for the third time in four. Seongnam will be favorites here.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Jeju United vs. Ulsan Hyundai (3pm)
Jeju United have won their previous two game and are undefeated at home so far this season. Ulsan are just below Jeju in the league table, but have been inconsistent recently winning 1, drawing 1 and losing 1. However they are stronger away than at home. Close game on paper, but we see Jeju edging it.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Gwangju vs. Suwon City FC (4pm)
Gwangju have found a little bit of form in recent weeks winning their last 2 and moving up to 7th. Suwon City FC picked up a shock win last weekend beating Pohang and ending a 3 game losing run. They’re still struggling in the league sitting just above the relegation zone. This will be close but Gwangju will be favorites to win.
Prediction: 1 – 0
Sunday May 29th 2016:
FC Seoul vs. Jeonnam Dragons (2pm)
FC Seoul required penalties to progress to the quarter finals of the Asian Champions League (this coming August). They are top of the league currently but only on goal difference. Jeonnam Dragons have lost 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 games and are currently second bottom. FC Seoul will be obvious favorites here.
Prediction: 3 – 1
Jeonbuk Hyundai vs. Sangju Sangmu (4pm)
League champions for the past 2 seasons Jeonbuk Hyundai have had an up and down week, they progressed to the quarter finals of the Asian Champions League. However they have been implicated in referee bribery dating back to 2013. In the league they’ve won 3 games straight. Sangju Sangmu have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 4 games. Jeonbuk will be favorites here.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Pohang Steelers vs. Suwon Bluewings (5pm)
Pohang Steelers have had a pretty poor season so far only winning 3 of the 11 games this season and crashing out of the Champions League in the group stages. Suwon Bluewings also went out of the Champions League at the same point and have only 2 wins this season. Both sides need a win, however we see it ending in a draw.
