With the European Championships less than 2 weeks away the 24 sides involved are all working hard to be ready. Spain are the defending champions having beaten Italy in the final 4 years ago in Kiev.
Spain vs. South Korea will take place on Wednesday June 1st at the Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim (Austria), with kick off at 23.30pm (Korea Time).
South Korea: Korea haven’t lose a game since the final of the Asian Cup back at the beginning of 2015. They had a perfect Round 2 World Cup group stage with 8 wins from 8. Also they’ve only conceded once in the year.
Spain: Spain also are on strong form with their last defeat coming back in Spring 2015 to Holland in a friendly. They qualified for Euro 2016 winning 9 of their 10 games and only conceding 3 goals.
Head-to-Head: Spain and South Korea have played 5 times, Spain winning 3 and the other two ending in a draw. The last time these sides meet was in May 2012, with Spain winning 4-1.
Prediction: Both sides are on form and Spain will be looking to experiment and avoid injuries. That being said Korea can also take things easy in friendlies. This will be a close game but we see Spain edging it on the night.
Spain vs. South Korea (International Friendly) Result
Spain 6 – 1 South Korea
Spain: David Silva, Fàbregas, Nolito x2 and Álvaro Morata x2.
South Korea: Ju Se-Jong
