Homeplus Fish Stew SoupSeafood is a very important and big part of Korean Cuisine, it comes in many different forms and suit both different taste and seasons. One of the more basic dishes is 해물탕 or Haemultang, a seafood stew/soup made with a mixture of different ingredients.

We bought this set/pack from Homeplus for around 10,000won or $10, and it’s designed to 3 or 4 people. It contains sea snails, shrimp, octopus, roe and other fish and shellfish. As well as a liquid base and vegetables. We added some tofu and extra vegetables. To cook just put all of the ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Allow to cook for around 5-7mins and you’re done.

Overall we found it enjoyable, the seafood parts were a good quality and value for money. It lacked a little freshness and the vegetables were a little average. It’s certainly worth the money and a good way to sample Haemultang at home.
