The 2016 Korean FA Cup (fa컵) started back at beginning of March with sides from across the country entering the 20th anniversary competition. There are still a handful of lower league and university sides still in the competition as well as the big boys from the K League Classic enter at this stage.
Korean FA Cup 2016 Round of 16 Fixtures
There are 8 ties in this round of the competition with 8 K League Classic, 4 K League Challenge, 2 National League and 2 University sides remaining at this stage.
The standout games are; firstly 2nd placed in the K League Classic giants FC Seoul who face a difficult tie against K League Challenge leaders Ansan Mugunghwa (formerly Ansan Police). A very difficult game on paper for the defending cup winners.

Secondly we have Jeonbuk Hyundai taking on university side Dankook University, who beat Sangju Sangmu in the previous round. The K League Classic side have everything to lose with the Uni side having a huge shop window opportunity.

All of the game take place on Wednesday evening, and if level after 90mins will continue with extra-time and penalties. The K League sides might start weaken sides, but with the possibility of a Champions League spot going to the cup winners the FA Cup is certainly worth winning;
