Euro 2016 draws to a close this coming Monday Morning (Korea Time) and overall it’s been an enjoyable tournament. There have been a few issues on and off the pitch, but for the most part the fans have been treated to some excellent footballing action. The final will feature hosts France and Portugal. Monday July 11th 4am (Korean Time) or 9pm (Local Time) Kick Off
Hosts France started a little slowly and showed a little ring-rust mainly due to their lack of competitive games over the past couple of years. They won their group and have looked better and better during the knockout stages. Beating Ireland, Iceland and Germany to reach the finals on home soil.
Then you have Portugal the underdogs and maybe not the crowd favorites. They drew all 3 of their group games and progressed as a 3rd placed side. They beat Croatia after extra time and then Poland on penalties. Finally they looked improved as they beat Wales in the semis to make the showpiece final.
Prediction: Both sides have lineups of stars each one easily valued over a million dollars. But in a final it’s all about winning and not your value. France will be favorites, the best side form wise and with home advantage. However Portugal have their ace Ronaldo, give him a yard and he’ll make you sorry. This is a final and will be super tight. We see it going to extra time, with France edging it in the end.
