“What’s Your Number?” by Zhoumi – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fifth for July 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, however we’ve chosen the new release from Zhoumi. The song is titled “What’s Your Number” and it was released on YouTube on Monday July 18th, in that time it’s been viewed over 600,000 times on the smtown YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “What’s Your Number” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is catchy and fun, it makes nice background or driving music. The type of song that can stay in your head all day.
• Secondly the video is fun tells a very basic storyline and focuses on Zhoumi.
• Finally Zhoumi is maybe best known from his time as the lead singer of Super Junior-M or Chinese Super Junior. He’s now 30 and seems to have progressed into a solid solo career.
• On the negative side; it sounds a little dated and might get lost pretty quickly.
