Korea is a land of chicken and pork, but sometimes you want a nice steak for your dinner. Korean Beef is pretty expensive and therefore you need to look at imported options. The main/cheaper options come from either Australia or the United States. Rather than buying from the local supermarket you took the slightly different option of buying them via G Market. G Market is an online shopping portal which is basically a cross between Amazon and eBay.
At the time they cost around ₩6000 ($6) each for 500g, which is very good value plus ₩2500 for delivery so a total of around ₩20,000. They arrived next day in an well packaged box complete with ice packs. The steaks were as described and pretty good quality, of course you don’t expect restaurant quality but these were good and fresh. They were very enjoyable and overall the experience of buying steaks via G Market was a positive one.
