“Fantasy” by VIXX – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Third for August 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, however we’ve chosen the new release from VIXX The song is titled “Fantasy” and it was released on YouTube on Sunday August 14th, in that time it’s been viewed over 1.5million times on the RealVIXX YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Fantasy” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song builds tempo from the beginning to the end and features both strong vocals and rapping.
• Secondly the video is interesting, there is a short of storyline which is more symbolic than anything else.
• Finally VIXX have been around for a number of years now and seem to be sticking with the slight goth/emo image.
• On the negative side; it’s a little dull at points, maybe better background than foreground.
