“Molae Molae” by I.B.I – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fourth for August 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, however we’ve chosen the debut release from I.B.I The song is titled “Molae Molae” and it was released on YouTube on Wednesday August 17th, in that time it’s been viewed over half a million times on the 1theK YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Molae Molae” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is sweet and simple, featuring strong vocals. It’s a nice background or OST track.
• Secondly the video is fun and matches the song nicely. It also includes some fun dance routines and cartoon scenes.
• Finally I.B.I are a debut act and come from a big TV (Produce 101) show so will have a good amount of success to start with. The big question is will it last?
• On the negative side; this could be a one hit wonder situation, their second release will need to stand out.
