UFC 204 Main Card Predictions & Previews
Mirsad Bektic vs. Russell Doane (Featherweight)
Mirsad Bektic by 2nd Round TKO – Doane comes into this fight on a 3 fight losing streak and so he’s fighting for his UFC future, whilst Bektic is undefeated 10-0 (2-0 UFC). Bektic is heavy favorite and should win.
Stefan Struve vs. Daniel Omielanczuk (Heavyweight)
Stefan Struve by 1st Round TKO – Struve looked like a different fighter in his last fight winning in 16seconds against Bigfoot Silva. Omielanczuk has won his last 3 fights, but against low quality opponents. We see the fight finishing quickly and Struve being the winner.
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Jimi Manuwa (Light Heavyweight)
Ovince Saint Preux by Decision – Saint Preux is a strong fighter, who lasted 5 rounds against Jon Jones in his last bout. Jimi Manuwa is one of the best the UK has to offer, however he’s lost 2 of his last 3 against highly ranked guys. Therefore we’re siding with a 3 round war with Saint Preux taking the win.
Vitor Belfort vs. Gegard Mousasi (Middleweight)
Muusasi by 2nd Round TKO – Former Strikeforce champion Mousasi will be looking for his 40th win on Saturday evening (Sunday Morning here in Korea) and comes into this bout as a clear favorite. However he faces a still dangerous Vitor Belfort, a fighter who hasn’t gone the distance in almost 10 years. We’re siding with Mousasi, he is still in the title picture and a few big wins could give him a shot before the end of 2017.
Michael Bisping (c) vs. Dan Henderson (Middleweight Championship)
Bisping by 3rd Round TKO – This is the first title defence for Micheal “The Count” Bisping and in his (almost) hometown of Manchester. He’s shown in the past that he can put his fist where is mouth is, and proved this perfectly knocking out Luke Rockhold on short notice. The man he’s facing is the old man of the sport Dan “Hendo” Henderson, 32 wins and 14 defeats in a career stretching back to 1997! He’s won Pride tournaments and a strikeforce title. He is still dangerous but Bisping is a smart fighter and we see a slow feeling out 1st round, followed by Bisping picking Hendo apart in the next 2 and finishing in the 3rd.
