Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fourth for November 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the new release from “Sistar” Member Hyolyn with a solo release titled “Paradise“. and it was released on YouTube on Monday November 7th. Here are our reasons for choosing “Paradise” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is upbeat and features Hyolyn’s strong vocals from beginning to end.
- Secondly the video is has had over a million views, and features a playful and simple concept.
- Finally Hyolyn has been a popular face of the KPOP scene since 2010, however she’s still only 25 and therefore is still developing as an artist.
- On the negative side; some parts of the song and video are very similar to certain western releases.
