“Mystery” by Hyoyeon – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our First for December 2016.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the debut solo release from “Girls Generation” Member Hyoyeon with a song titled “Mystery“. It was released on YouTube on Thursday December 1st. Here are our reasons for choosing “Mystery” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is catchy, simple and has a nice beat and tempo.
• Secondly the video is has had over a million views in only a few days, it’s interesting and displays a high production value.
• Finally this is a solid debut solo release from a member of the most popular KPOP group ever in girls generation.
• On the negative side; it’s a little safe.
