The K League and Asian Champions League seasons are over however Jeonbuk Hyundai still have one competition left to play for, the FIFA Club World Cup. They take on CONCACAF (North & Central America) champions Club America from Mexico in the Quarter Finals. A win will set up a glamor tie against UEFA Champions Real Madrid.

Jeonbuk have won the AFC Champions beating Al Ain in the final over 2 legs a few weeks ago. They also finished runner-up in the K League, losing grip of the title on the final day of the season losing out to rivals FC Seoul.
Key Player: 30 year old Brazilian winger Leonardo is playing his 5th season for Jeonbuk and has been key player in both the league and champions league. Also Veteran forward Lee Dong-Gook (37) maybe playing in his final game.
Club America:
The 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League Champions, they’re currently 6th in Liga MX. They won the champions league Seattle Sounders FC, Santos Laguna & then UANL in the final. Giving them their 2nd title in as many years.
Key Player: Ecadorian forward Michael Arroyo is a key target moving forward and could be a danger for the Jeonbuk defence. Also captain Rubens Sambueza controls the midfield.
Head-to-Head:
These sides have played each other once before, back in 2006 also during the FIFA Club World Cup. Club America won 1-0 then.
Prediction:
Jeonbuk Hyundai 2 – 1 Club America
Jeonbuk don’t have to worry so much about traveling or the change in climate, and so they’ll be favorites in that regard. On the field as well Jeonbuk seem to have a stronger lineup. Real Madrid await the winners.
