Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Third for March 2017.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the first release of 2017 from Day6 with a song titled “How Can I Say“. It was released on YouTube on Sunday March 5th 2017. Here are our reasons for choosing “How Can I Say” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a fun pop-rock style with solid vocals and nice tempo changes.
- Secondly the video cool and matches the rock nature and lyrics nicely.
- Finally Day6 have been around for a couple of years and it seems like now they are being pushed more by JYP.
- On the negative side; Rock in Korea isn’t mainstream and so this might gain some interest, long term it could struggle.
