The weekends K League Classic action continues with a more compact Sunday fixture list of only 2 games. Pohang Steelers vs. Incheon United and Daegu vs. Jeonnam Dragons. Both games maybe have more implications at the bottom of the table, however these types of games are often more entertaining if a little lacking in overall quality.

A quick reminder that this season we’re going to the covering each match day separately (the last few seasons it’s been each round). Making the posts a little shorter and focused on a day. Video Highlights, Goal Updates and more via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

K League Classic 2017 League Table Update

Of course following just 4 games the league table doesn’t reflect a probable final table, but it does make of nice viewing for a few sides. Jeju lead the way along with Jeonbuk level on 10 points. Pohang, Sangju and Seoul then all follow on 7 points. Ulsan complete the top half with 6 points. Gangwon down to Suwon Bluewings are all separated by a single point. Finally Jeonnam are bottom and still currently pointless.

K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Sunday April 9th – Round 5)

Moving onto the football, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Sundays 2 games;

Pohang Steelers vs. Incheon United @ 3pm

Our highlight game on Sunday on comes from the Steelyard, as Pohang Steelers host Incheon United. Pohang have only lost once so far this season the opening game of the season against local rivals Ulsan. Since then they’ve won twice and drawn once. Incheon United on the other hand haven’t been maybe had the best of luck but never give up, twice coming back from 2 goals down in order to draw. Including last weekends 3-3 draw against Suwon Bluewings. Last Time: Incheon won 3-2 last October.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Pohang at home will be favorites, but never count Incheon out.
+Game of Day+ This is our highlight game of the day and therefore we’ll be covering it in extra detail via our Twitter Page.

Daegu vs. Jeonnam Dragons @ 3pm

The Sunday this Sunday afternoon is a early relegation 6-pointer as Daegu host bottom side Jeonnam Dragons. Daegu are still looking for their first win since winning promotion back into the Classic. They have however drawn 3 of their 4 games so far this season. Jeonnam Dragons have lost all 4 of their games and have shipped 10 goals in the process. They desperately need to change their fortunes asap. Last Time: Jeonnam won 1-0 back in November 2013.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Honestly neither side had shown much so far this season, and therefore we’re siding with a draw.

K League Challenge 2017 League Table Update

The league table after just four games has Gyeongnam topping the table, followed by Busan I’Park, Suwon FC and Asan Mugunghwa who currently fill the playoff places. Bucheon 1995 and FC Anyang follow close behind. Ansan Greeners, Seoul E-Land and Daejeon Citizen are already a little off the pace. Finally we have Seongnam FC who still sit at the bottom.

K League Challenge 2017 Previews & Predictions (Sunday April 9th – Round 6)

Here are brief previews and predictions for this Sunday’s K League Challenge games;

Ansan Greeners vs. Suwon FC @ 3pm

The highlight game of the day comes from the Ansan Wa Stadium and features Ansan Greeners and high flying Suwon FC. Ansan Greeners have had a mixed start to life in the K League Challenge, they’ve lost 3 but won 2 of their opening games, their defensive record in the issue as it’s the worst in the league. Suwon FC on the other hand have a pretty tight defensive unit, picking up 10 points from 5 games.
Prediction: 1 – 2
Suwon are slight favorites in our opinion, mainly due to Ansan’s leaky defence.
+Game of Day+ This is our highlight game of the day and therefore we’ll be covering it in extra detail via our Twitter Page.

Busan I’Park vs. Seoul E-Land @ 5pm

The late Sunday afternoon clash comes from the Busan Gudeok Stadium (the now confirmed main home of Busan I’Park). Busan I’Park are one of the early pace setters with 10 points from their opening 5 games, and an easy cup win a little over a week ago. Seoul E-Land on the other hand have been disappointing 1 win, 1 draw and 4 defeats have left them adrift of the early pace setters such as Busan I’Park.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Busan will be favorites to win this one.
