The K League Classic enters it’s 6th round of the 2017 season this coming Saturday with a light card of matches. Only 2 games; with Incheon United hosting Jeonnam Dragons and Pohang Steelers welcoming Daegu.
A quick reminder that this season we’re going to the covering each match day separately (the last few seasons it’s been each round). Making the posts a little shorter and focused on a day. Video Highlights, Goal Updates and more via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

K League Classic 2017 League Table Update
Of course following just 5 games the league table doesn’t reflect a probable final table yet. Jeju lead the way along with Jeonbuk level on 11 points. Seoul Pohang, Sangju and Seoul then all follow on 7 points. Ulsan complete the top half with 6 points. Gangwon down to Suwon Bluewings are all separated by a single point. Finally Jeonnam are bottom and still currently pointless.
K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday April 15th – Round 6)
Moving onto the football, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 2 games;
Incheon United vs. Jeonnam Dragons @ 3pm
The first 3 o’clock kick off on Saturday comes from the Incheon Football Stadium (Sungui Arena Park) as Incheon United host bottom side Jeonnam Dragons. Incheon United have lost twice and drawn 3 times so far this season, and have shown signs of quality mixed in with basic errors. Jeonnam Dragons have had an awful start 5 defeats from 5 games, conceding 12 goals in the process. Last Time: Jeonnam won 2-1 last August. Also Incheon haven’t beaten Jeonnam at home since 2012.
Prediction: 1 – 1
This is an early season relegation 6-pointer, and although we see Incheon having the edge on paper we also can see Jeonnam finally coming to life this weekend. Therefore a draw seem logical.

Pohang Steelers vs. Daegu @ 3pm
The Second game of the day comes from the Steelyard as Pohang Steelers host Daegu. Pohang have had a good start to the season winning 3 of their 5 games and are the league highest scorers. Daegu are undefeated since the opening game of the season drawing 3 and winning last weekend. Their issue has been a lack of goals.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Pohang should have a slight edge, however Daegu are difficult to beat.

The league table after just four games has Gyeongnam topping the table, followed by Busan I’Park, Bucheon 1995 and Suwon FC who currently fill the playoff places. K League Challenge 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday April 8th – Round 6)
Here are brief previews and predictions for this Saturday’s K League Challenge games;
Asan Mugunghwa vs. Ansan Greeners @ 3pm
The opening game of the day is the historic first ever clash between Asan Mugunghwa and Ansan Greeners (previously Mugunghwa). The Ansan fans will certainly known plenty of the opposition players coming into this one. Asan have won 3 of there opening 6 games, showing a little inconsistency. Ansan have only won twice in their opening 6, with their defence being a bit of an early issue.
Prediction: 3 – 1
Asan have been strong in front of goal and solid at home, Ansan poor away and defensively weak. Therefore Asan will be favorites.
Busan I’Park vs. Suwon FC @ 3pm
The second of the 3 o’clock kick offs sees two of the leading teams clash, as Busan I’Park host Suwon FC. Busan 4 wins from 6, with the best attacking and defensive records in the league. Suwon FC won their opening 3 games, but have slipped a little in recent weeks.
Prediction: 1 – 0
Close game on paper but Busan at home should have the edge.
Bucheon 1995 vs. Daejeon Citizen @ 5pm
This Saturdays late game features Bucheon 1995 and Daejeon Citizen, two sides looking to breakout of the mid-table bubble. Bucheon 1995 have won their last 3 games straight, but might have an eye on next weeks FA Cup match with Jeonbuk Hyundai. Daejeon Citizen 1 win all season and already off the pace.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Bucheon should win this one based on recent form. However they might rest some players which gives Daejeon an opening.
