Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fifth for April 2017.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the new release from Laboum with a song titled “Hwi Hwi“. It was released on YouTube on Sunday April 16th 2017. Here are our reasons for choosing “Hwi Hwi” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is catchy, poppy and fun. With solid vocals and lyrics.
- Secondly the video is fun colorful and matches the lyrics and theme nicely.
- Finally Laboum have been around for a few years now and seem to be finally getting a much needed push. The MusicBank win will help :).
- On the negative side; it maybe a slightly slow burner.
