Despite the U20 World Cup starting this weekend, the K League doesn’t stop and Saturday even features 4 games in the Classic. Also this is the first weekend of evening games as the summer is here and the weather is a little too hot for afternoon games. The standout game maybe FC Seoul v Gangwon, as both sides look to bounce back from losing in the FA Cup during the week. Due to the U20 World Cup, there will be no featured games this week and a little less coverage.

K League Classic 2017 League Table Update
Jeonbuk Hyundai lead the way but are only a single point clear at the top over Jeju United. 9 points separate 2nd to 10th, whilst Daegu and Incheon United are at the bottom and need to improve.
K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday May 20th – Round 12)
Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 4 games;
Ulsan Hyundai vs. Jeonnam Dragons @ 6pm
The first game of the day is between Ulsan Hyundai and Jeonnam Dragons. Ulsan continued their strong run of form beating Challenge leaders Gyeongnam in the cup during the week. Jeonnam have had mixed fortunes in the league recently, but they did win in the cup on Wednesday.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Ulsan will be slight favorites to will this one.
FC Seoul vs. Gangwon @ 7pm
The 1st of the 7 o’clock game is a home game for FC Seoul as they look to bounce back from crashing out of both the ACL and FA Cup in recent weeks. Gangwon have looked better in the league over the past couple of weeks, but lost to Seongnam in the cup.
Prediction: 2 – 0
We see FC Seoul winning this one, as Gangwon don’t travel well.
Sangju Sangmu vs. Suwon Bluewings @ 7pm
The next game is between Sangju Sangmu and Suwon Bluewings. Sangju Sangmu beat challenge side Bucheon 1995 during the week, a big improvement on their recent league form. Suwon Bluewings have won 4 games from 5 in the league, and are starting to move into championship contention.
Prediction: 1 – 2
This is a game that Suwon should win, but it will be close.
Daegu vs. Jeju United @ 7pm
The final game is between Daegu and Jeju United. Daegu have lost 3 games on the bounce and in certainly in the relegation battle. Jeju United on the other hand are in the championship race and have won 3 from 5 and are the leagues highest goal scorers.
Prediction: 1 – 3
Jeju will be favorites, however Daegu are pretty good at home.

K League Challenge 2017 (Saturday May 20th – Round 13) Previews & Predictions
Saturday afternoon also features three interesting games in the K League Challenge. These will be lost a little under the Classic and U20 World Cup.

K League Challenge 2017 League Table Update
The league table after ten games has Gyeongnam topping the table 4 points clear, followed by Busan I’Park, Asan Mugunghwa and Bucheon 1995 who currently fill the playoff places. Suwon FC and FC Anyang follow close behind. Then we have a 6 point gap to Seoul E-Land, Ansan Greeners, Seongnam FC and finally we have Daejeon Citizen who are bottom.
K League Challenge 2017 Predictions (Saturday May 20th – Round 13)
Here are predictions for this Saturday’s K League Challenge games;
Bucheon 1995 vs. Asan Mugunghwa @ 7pm
Prediction: 1 – 1
Both lost in the cup during the week to Classic sides, both in the playoffs on solid form so a draw seem the likely outcome.
MOVED TO SUNDAY
Busan I’Park vs. Seoul E-Land @ 7pm
Prediction: 2 – 0
Busan will be on a high after beating FC Seoul during the week in the cup, but also tired. E-Land haven’t been great this season, so we’re looking at a Busan win.
Gyeongnam vs. Suwon FC @ 7pm
Prediction: 1 – 0
Gyeongnam feel in the cup during the week, but in the league have looked impressive and we see them winning this one.
