The week begins and the U20 World Cup continues as the final 8 nations enter the competition. Monday features 4 games 2 in Group E and 2 in Group F with games taking place at the Cheonan Stadium and Incheon Football Stadium.
The highlight game of the day is between South American Ecuador and North Americans the United States, the attendance should be solid despite the 5pm kick off time. Here are previews and predictions are all 4 games;

U20 World Cup 2017 Previews / Predictions – Monday May 22nd 2017
Are the details on the 4 games on Monday in the U20 World Cup;
France vs. Honduras – 5pm
One of the overall favorites to go all the way European Champions France enter the tourament on Monday afternoon, they take on Central Americans Honduras. France won the cup once before in 2013. Honduras finished runners-up in their regional tournament, they haven’t progressed past the group stages before in the U20 World Cup.
France will be favorites, but Honduras should at least make it close.
Prediction: France 2 – 0 Honduras
Ecuador vs. United States – 5pm
The days second 5 o’clock kick off comes from Incheon and features Ecuador and the United States. Ecuador finished 2nd in the South American Championships, however they only won 4 of their 9 games. The United States are the current CONCACAF champions and are expected to at least make the late 16.
Sides look pretty even on paper, however we see the United States maybe having the slight edge.
Prediction: Ecuador 1 – 2 United States
New Zealand vs. Vietnam – 8pm
The second game in Group E features two of the weaker sides in the tournament New Zealand and Vietnam. New Zealand qualified by winning the OFC tournament, but competition in their area is limited. Vietnam were surprise qualifiers beating Bahrain to claim there place, however this maybe a step to far for them.
Both sides need the 3 points here to stand a chance of making the final 16, and we see New Zealand being that side.
Prediction: New Zealand 3 – 1 Vietnam
Saudi Arabia vs. Senegal – 8pm
The final game of the day comes from Incheon and is between Asian Nation Saudi Arabia and African Nation Senegal. Saudi Arabia finished runners-up in the AFC Championship, losing to Japan on penalties in the final. They also reached the last 16 in 2011. Senegal finished in 4th place 2 years ago and could be the best hope for a 2nd ever African Champion.
Tough game to call, but we see Senegal maybe having the edge.
Prediction: Saudi Arabia 0 – 1 Senegal
