The final is this coming Sunday, but before that we have the Semi Finals of the 2017 u20 World Cup. 3 of the 4 Quarter Finals broke the 5,000 mark and good crowds are expected for the Semi Finals and a possible full house for the final on Sunday. Both games take place on Thursday, firstly an all South American clash between Venezuela & Uruguay followed in the evening by an all European game between Italy & England. Here are our previews and predictions;

U20 World Cup 2017 Previews / Predictions – Semi Finals
Here are the details on the Thursday games in the U20 World Cup Semi Finals;
Venezuela vs. Uruguay – 5pm (Thursday)
The first Semi Final of the U20 World Cup comes from the Daejeon World Cup Stadium and is between South American Nations Venezuela and Uruguay. Venezuela eased through the group stages winning all 3 of their games, but they needed extra time to beat Japan in the round of 16 and again to beat the United States in the Quarter Finals. Uruguay progressed winning their group and then narrowly beat Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the round of 16. Then they came from behind twice to beat Portugal 5-4 on penalties.
Venezuela have been maybe the better side overall so far, but Uruguay don’t give up. We see Venezuela winning again, but maybe they’ll require extra time.
Prediction: Uruguay 0 – 1 Venezuela
Italy vs. England – 8pm (Thursday)
The second semi final comes from the Jeonju World Cup Stadium and is between two European giants Italy and England. Italy were unimpressive during the group stages, but have come alive during their last 2 games beating France in the round of 16, before knocking out African Champions Zambia in the Quarter Finals after extra time and whilst playing most of the game with 10 men. England progressed through the group stages comfortably beating rivals Argentina and hosts South Korea. They then defeats two Central American Nations in Costa Rica and Mexico on route to this Semi Final.
At this stage there are no weak sides, so this could go either way. However England have been the most consistent.
Prediction: Italy 1 – 2 England
