It’s been a fun month of entertaining almost daily football from the U20 World Cup, but all good thing have to come to an end and so it’s time for the final. The final is between maybe the two most impressive nations overall during the tournament, England and Venezuela. Neither side has won the U20 World Cup before, England coming closest finishing 3rd back in 1993.

U20 World Cup 2017 Previews / Predictions – Final
Here are the details on the the U20 World Cup Final;
England vs. Venezuela – 7pm
The U20 World Cup Final comes from the Suwon World Cup Stadium and a good sized crowd is expected.
England; England topped their group beating rivals Argentina, drawing with Guinea before beating hosts South Korea. They beat Costa Rica, Mexico and Italy on-route to Sunday’s Final. This is the first World Cup final for any England Team (any age group) since 1966. Key Players; Recent £3 million (predicted) Liverpool signing (previously Chelsea) Dominic Solanke has been the dangerman upfront during the knockout stages, he’s tall, strong and powerful. Also Everton Winger Ademola Lookman is one of the main creative outlets and could be key moving forward.
Venezuela; Venezuela like England topped their qualifying group ahead of Germany, Mexico and Vanuatu beating all 3. They required extra time to beat Japan and then the United States, before a penalty shootout win over Uruguay in the Semi Finals. This is only the 2nd U20 World Cup appearance for Venezuela and their best performance by far. Key Players; Bleach Blonde haired Adalberto Peñaranda stands out for Venezuela partly due to his hair but also because of his talent. The soon to be Watford Midfield is their key play-maker. Another key player is goalkeeper Wuilker Faríñez.
Venezuela have proven to be an almost impossible time to beat, but England have improved game after game and are our favorites to lift the cup.
Prediction: England 2 – 1 Venezuela
U20 World Cup 2017 Third Place Play-off
Uruguay vs. Italy – 3.30pm
The 3rd place playoff is for bragging rights and is of course over shadowed by the final later in the day. Uruguay topped their group ahead of Italy, who they beat in the opening group match 1-0. Italy showed signs of greatness beating early favorites France but inconsistency cost them in the end.
We’re going for Uruguay but it depends if either nation rotates their squads and give the backup players a run out in the Korea Sunshine.
Prediction: Uruguay 4 – 2 Italy
