K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday July 1st – Round 18)
Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 3 games;
Daegu vs. Gangwon @ 7pm
The first game of the day is between two sides desperately looking for improvements in recent form. Daegu lost 3-0 to Suwon during the week and finished the game with only 9 men. They are only 2 points off the bottom now. Gangwon are much safer up in 5th place, but have only won once since the return for the international break.
Prediction: 2 – 4
Gangwon haven’t been playing out 0-0 draws recently so we see a fair number of goals and a win for the away side.
Ulsan Hyundai vs. Suwon Bluewings @ 7pm
The second game of the day is a big clash with possible title race implications. Ulsan Hyundai (2nd) host Suwon Bluewings (4th). Ulsan Hyundai were surprisingly beaten last weekend by lowly Incheon and then held to a goalless draw away to Sangju on Wednesday. Suwon have 7 points from their last 3 games and beat Daegu 3-0 away on Wednesday.
Prediction: 1 – 1
A close game at the top, it looks like a draw but Suwon can be stronger away from the Big Bird.
Incheon United vs. Gwangju @ 7pm
The the final game on Saturday is between comes from the Incheon Football Stadium and is a real relegation 6-pointer, as Incheon host Gwangju. Incheon United have looked strong in their last 2 games beating Ulsan away last weekend and then drawing against Jeju also on the road on Wednesday. Gwangju only behind Incheon on goals scored, haven’t won since April but did collect a point away vs. Gangwon during the week.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Incheon have looked stronger recently, however they are better away from home this season. First home win of the season for Incheon? Or away win for Gwangju? We think Incheon.
