K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday July 1st – Round 18)

Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 3 games;

Jeonnam Dragons vs. Jeju United @ 7pm

The first game of the day is between Jeonnam Dragons and Jeju United. Jeonnam Dragons are currently down in 9th, and have been mainly let down by a leaky defense this season. 1 win in 4 games for them. Jeju United don’t score so many away from home, but still pick up wins.
Prediction:  1 – 2
Hard one to call this one, but we’re giving the slight edge to Jeju.

FC Seoul vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai @ 7pm

The second game of the day is a big clash between K League giants FC Seoul and Jeonbuk Hyundai. These two sides battled out the title last season, but this year FC Seoul have been inconsistent and are currently down in the bottom half, only 1 win in 5 games highlights their issues. Jeonbuk on the other hand now playing back at the Jeonju World Cup stadium are building a solid lead at the top of the table. They haven’t lost since that surprise 4-0 defeat to Jeju almost 2 months ago.
Prediction:  0 – 2
Seoul have issues at the back and going forward, but Jeonbuk have a few in-form strikers so we see them winning.

Sangju Sangmu vs. Pohang Steelers @ 7pm

The the final game on Sunday is a mid-table battle between Army side Sangju Sangmu and 6th placed Pohang Steelers. There are only 4 points separating these sides. Sangju Sangmu are undefeated in 4 games since returning from the international break. However 3 of those were draws. Pohang Steelers have lost 4 of their last 5, only beating lowly Incheon.
Prediction:  1 – 0
Sangju are slightly the stronger side at the moment, and therefore we see a narrow win.

K League Challenge 2017 Predictions (Sunday July 2nd & Monday July 3rd – Round 19)

Here are predictions for this Sunday’s and Monday’s K League Challenge games;

Sunday:

Seongnam FC vs. Bucheon 1995 @ 7pm

Prediction: 2 – 1
Seongnam have finally found some form done in the Challenge, whilst Bucheon are inconsistent. Therefore we see a win for Seongnam on Sunday evening.

Monday:

Daejeon Citizen vs. FC Anyang @ 7.30pm

Prediction: 3 – 2
Daejeon have been poor this season, however they catch Anyang in a real slump. So we see goals and a Daejeon win.

Suwon FC vs. Gyeongnam @ 7.30pm

Prediction: 1 – 1
Both sides seem to be drawing a lot recently and they look even on paper. Therefore we’re siding with a draw.
