K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday July 15th – Round 21)
Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 3 games;
Jeonnam Dragons vs. Daegu @ 7pm
The first game of the day is between two bottom half teams, Jeonnam Dragons and 11th placed Daegu. Jeonnam Dragons drew for the 4th game on the bounce on Wednesday evening taking home a good point on the road to Gangwon. Daegu on the other hand lost 3-1 to Ulsan who played over an hour with 10men. Daegu also haven’t won away from home all season.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Jeonnam will be favorites to win this one, strong at home v weak away.
Pohang Steelers vs. Suwon Bluewings @ 7pm
The second game of the day is a top half clash between 6th placed Pohang Steelers and 3rd placed Suwon Bluewings. Pohang have only won 1 of their last 5 games and lost 1-0 to a struggling FC Seoul during the week. Suwon Bluewings on the other hand have won 3 from 4 and are building to a mid-season championship run.
Prediction: 1 – 3
We’re going with the form-book and siding with Suwon despite being away from home.
Ulsan Hyundai vs. Gwangju @ 7pm
The the final game on Saturday is between two teams at opposite ends of the Classic Table, 2nd placed Ulsan Hyundai and bottom side Gwangju. Ulsan Hyundai bounced back from their heavy defeat to Jeonbuk last Saturday to beat Daegu during the week despite playing much of the game with only 10 men. Gwangju struggled on Wednesday with only 10 men and lost at home to Sangju Sangmu. Still awaiting the debut of Neill McGinn as well (maybe Saturday?)
Prediction: 1 – 0
With players moving around at the moment we’re not backing Ulsan to win big, but we do see them taking the 3 points.
