Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Third for July 2017.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the new release from new star group BLACKPINK with a song titled “As If It’s Your Last“. It was released on YouTube on Thursday June 22nd 2017. Here are our reasons for choosing “As If It’s Your Last” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is cool, as a strong tempo, vocals and rapping elements which all mix together fantastically.
- Secondly the video has high production values, it’s fun and has a slight storyline
- Finally BLACKPINK exploded onto the KPOP scene last year as the new 2NE1 and this could be an even bigger year for them. Certainly a group to watch for.
- On the negative side; it’s maybe lacking a little originality.
