“Newton” by Monsta X – KPOP Song of the Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fifth for July 2017.
There have been a few interesting new KPOP releases over the past few weeks, this week we’ve gone for the new release from boyband Monsta X with a song titled “Newton“. It was released on YouTube on Thursday July 27th 2017. Here are our reasons for choosing “Newton” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song is cool, upbeat and has a nice summer flow from start to finish.
• Secondly the video is fun and focuses on a Korean Summer feel (without the crowds), which is nice.
• Finally Monsta X have passed the rookie stage and are starting to develop into true KPOP Stars, with an ever growing fan-base. Certainly ones to watch out for.
• On the negative side; the obvious lipton product placement elements maybe aren’t needed.
