This coming Wednesday evening features a rare full midweek round from the K League Challenge. All 10 sides will be in action with maybe the highlight game being between table topping Gyeongnam and their opposites bottom side Daejeon Citizen. Predictions for all 5 games below;
K League Challenge 2017 League Table Update
The league table at this point has Gyeongnam topping the table now 11 points clear, followed by Busan I’Park. There is an 8 point gap to Asan Mugunghwa and Seongnam FC who currently fill the other playoff places. Bucheon 1995, Suwon FC and FC Anyang are close behind. Then there’s a gap to Seoul E-Land, Ansan and Daejeon Citizen who all look too far away from the playoff places now.
Note; this table doesn’t include Saturdays results
K League Challenge 2017 Predictions (Wednesday August 23rd – Round 26)
Here are predictions for this Wednesday’s K League Challenge games:
Gyeongnam vs. Daejeon Citizen @ 7pm
Prediction: 2 – 0
Gyeongnam have looked impressive in the Challenge so far this season and Daejeon (to put it politely) haven’t. Therefore we see Gyeongnam winning.
Suwon FC vs. Bucheon 1995 @ 7.30pm
Prediction: 1 – 1
Both sides are suffering from big drops in form, and so we see this ending in a draw.
Ansan Greeners vs. FC Anyang @ 7.30pm
Prediction: 2 – 1
The Line 4 derby, and we see Ansan narrowly edging this one as they’re at home.
Seoul E-Land vs. Asan Mugunghwa @ 8pm
Prediction: 0 – 1
Seoul have looked much better over the past few weeks, but Asan might have a little too much.
Seongnam FC vs. Busan I’Park @ 8pm
Prediction: 1 – 1
Two evenly matched playoff sides, and with Seongnam being unpredictable at home we see this ending in a draw.
