K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Sunday September 10th – Round 28)

Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 2 games;

Suwon Bluewings vs. Jeonnam Dragons @ 3pm

The first game of the day sees a return of the 3 o’clock kick-offs as Suwon Bluewings host Jeonnam Dragons. Prior to the break Suwon had let their foot off the gas and lost two on the bounce and are still without top goalscorer Johnathan. Jeonnam also haven’t had a good run recently only winning one of their last 5.
Prediction:  2 – 1
Suwon at home will be slight favorites and will be hoping that Santos can fill the Brazil goal-scoring boots this weekend at least.

Jeonbuk Hyundai vs. Gangwon @ 5pm

The second game of the day is a top half clash from the Jeonju World Cup Stadium. It’s between league leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai and 6th placed Gangwon. Jeonbuk have a 4 point lead at the top of the table and at times have looked impressive. However 1 win from their last 3 shows some holes. Gangwon are a little inconsistent with 2 wins and 2 defeats from their last 4 games. A top half finish will be a win if it happens this season.
Prediction:  2 – 0
We see Jeonbuk winning this one as Gangwon don’t always travel well.

Incheon United vs. Gwangju @ 6pm

The third game of the day is a relegation six pointer between 10th placed Incheon United and bottom side Gwangju. Incheon found a little form before the break and picked up a couple of win pushing them out of the relegation spots. Gwangju on the other hand have lost 5 on the bounce, including a defeat to Jeju United last weekend.
Prediction:  2 – 1
Incheon at home should have enough to edge this one, but it will be close.

Daegu vs. Pohang Steelers @ 7pm

The late and final game of the weekend is between Daegu and Pohang Steelers, two sides in the bottom 6. Daegu have 8 points from their 5 games prior to the international break and have started to clear a little ground away from the relegation battle. Pohang have only 1 win from their last 5 games, and have been relient on goal from Yang Dong-Hyun once again this season.
Prediction:  1 – 1
We’re siding with a draw as neither side has shown much consistency all season.
