K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday September 16th – Round 29)

Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays 3 games;

Gangwon vs. Jeonnam Dragons @ 3pm

The early game on Saturday afternoon is between two sides on opposites sides of the league split. 6th placed Gangwon and 8th placed Jeonnam Dragons. Gangwon lost at the weekend to Jeonbuk Hyundai in a goal-fest 4-3. 2 wins from their last 5. Jeonnam Dragons also lost last weekend, they fell 3-0 to Suwon Bluewings, and now have only 1 win from 5.
Prediction:  2 – 1
Neither side is on epic form, so we’re siding with Gangwon as they are generally stronger at home.

Sangju Sangmu vs. Gwangju @ 7pm

The second game of the day and first of the evening kick offs is a true relegation 6-pointer as Sangju Sangmu (11th) host Gwangju (12th – Bottom). Sangju Sangmu lost last weekend 4-2 to Ulsan and haven’t won since the beginning of July. They have also only won once at home all season. Gwangju are 5 points below Sangju and drew last weekend in a dull game vs. Incheon. They haven’t won away from home all season.
Prediction:  1 – 1
We’re siding with a draw, honestly neither of these sides have looked great this season and either one could win this one.

Daegu vs. Suwon Bluewings @ 7pm

The final game of the day is between two of the leagues in-form sides; Daegu who have pushed free of the relegation battle and Suwon Bluewings who are still in the hunt for a Champions League spot and maybe still the title. Daegu won last weekend and have 8 points from their last 4 games. Suwon Bluewings also won last weekend breaking a 2 game losing streak.
Prediction:  1 – 3
Although Daegu have improved recently we can’t see them beating Suwon. It will however be competitive.
