The K League Classic continues it’s post-split end faze of the 2017 season with the top 6 going for Championship Gold, whilst the bottom 6 try to avoid relegation. This weekend is highlighted by the 4th Super Match of the 2017 season. Previews and Predictions for all of Saturdays games below;

K League Classic 2017 League Table Update

Jeonbuk Hyundai are currently top the table 4 points ahead of Jeju United. Ulsan Hyundai are currently in the final Champions League spot, 3 points behind Jeju. Suwon Bluewings, Seoul and Gangwon complete the top half.

Pohang Steelers are 6 points clear at the top of the relegation round (aka bottom 6). Daegu are a little ahead of the rest. Sangju, Jeonnam and Incheon are separated by a point in the battle to avoid the relegation playoff. Finally Gwangju complete the table and are 7 points adrift and still favorites to go down.

K League Classic 2017 Previews & Predictions (Saturday October 21st – Round 35)

Moving onto the days action, here are our brief previews and predictions for this Saturdays games;

FC Seoul vs. Suwon Bluewings @ 3pm (Championship)

Prediction:  2 – 2
The 4th Super Match of the season is the obvious highlight of the weekend, both sides need to win to stay in contention for a Champions League spot. Seoul undefeated in 5, Suwon in 4. This one could go either way and VAR maybe involved. We see it ending 2-2.

Jeonnam Dragons vs. Pohang Steelers @ 3pm (Relegation)

Prediction:  1 – 3
Jeonnam have lost 4 on the bounce, whilst Pohang looked impressive hammering Incheon last weekend. Pohang will start as favorites.

Daegu vs. Incheon United @ 3pm (Relegation)

Prediction:  2 – 1
Daegu seem to be scoring for fun recently and the trio of Brazilians are finally proving valuable. Incheon need to find something late in the season, we see Daegu edging this one.

K League Challenge 2017 (Saturday October 21st – Round 35) Preview & Predictions

Saturday afternoon also features three games from the K League Challenge. There now are only 2 rounds until the end of the 2017 regular season and Gyeongnam have already claimed the title. However playoff hopefuls Bucheon 1995 take on Suwon FC which will be the standout game of Saturday.

K League Challenge 2017 League Table Update

The league table with 2 games to play has Gyeongnam topping the table now crowned champions, followed by Busan I’Park who are in the playoffs. Then there is an 11 point gap to Asan Mugunghwa and Seongnam FC who currently fill the other playoff places. Bucheon 1995 are a single point outside in 5th. Then there’s a gap to Suwon FC and FC Anyang who both are out of the playoff running now. Seoul E-Land, Ansan Greeners and Daejeon Citizen are all thinking about 2018 now.

K League Challenge 2017 Predictions (Saturday October 21st – Round 35)

Here are predictions for this Saturday’s K League Challenge games:

Ansan Greeners vs. Seoul E-Land @ 3pm

Prediction: 2 – 2
An end-of-season friendly in many ways, it could go either way but we see it ending in a draw.

Bucheon 1995 vs. Suwon FC @ 3pm

Prediction: 1 – 0
We see a narrow win for Bucheon keeping their playoff dreams alive.

Asan Mugunghwa vs. Gyeongnam @ 3pm

Prediction: 2 – 1
Asan need the win to claim a playoff place, whilst Gyeongnam might rest a few players and try some squad members. Asan win.
