The Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics are current underway and have for the most part been enjoyable up to this point. One question that has been asked a fair amount via social media is how to watch the games?
There are 3 main options; TV, Online and Mobile App. These options are for within South Korea, different countries have different options.
Note: Of course there are less legitimate options out there, but these are the legal options.
Korean TV
In Korea the big 3 broadcasters share the rights to show the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics. They are SBS, MBC & KBS (both KBS1 & KBS2). The main negative is that they’ll often show the same event at the same time. They are all free and available in HD and even UHD.
Online
The two main options are Naver Sports & AfreecaTV. You can also go directly onto the broadcasters websites, but streams aren’t always easy to find or use. Also it’s best to use Internet Explore, has most Korean websites are optimized for it.
Naver Sports / Naver TV – http://tv.naver.com/l/livehome
Naver TV has live streams of all of the main channels, normally in 1080p as well.
AfreecaTV – http://www.afreecatv.com/?hash=sports
