Taking a break from the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics the Asian Champions League moves into it’s 2nd week. The K League is still a little over a week away so it’s the only domestic football action on offer at the moment.
Reminder that this season I’m taking a long streamlined approach to the ACL due to other commitments and therefore focuses just on Predictions, and only for games including K League sides. However I’ll take and like previews for other sites when possible.
AFC Champions League Group Stage: Week Two Fixtures & Predictions
Tuesday February 20th
Ulsan Hyundai 2 – 1 Kawasaki Frontale
I’ve gone for Ulsan win in this one. Ulsan showed last week that they can score for fun when needed, but issues at the back cost they over the 90mins. At home they should have the edge over a solid J-League side in Kawasaki.

Kitchee SC 0 – 2 Jeonbuk Hyundai
Maybe not shock here but I’ve gone for a Jeonbuk 3-points. Jeonbuk made mistakes at the back last week, but against Kitchee they should have the edge both moving forward and defensively. Watch out for Forlán, he’s a tricky player even if he’s getting on a little these days.

Suwon Bluewings 2 – 1 Kashima Antlers
I’ve given Suwon the edge here. Based on there only 2 competitive game this season they’ve looked impressive. Both Dejan and Waguininho have slotted into the team nicely and it’s been a case of Johnathan who? Kashima won’t just roll over, so it will be close.

Buriram United 1 – 1 Jeju United
I’ve gone for a draw here. Buriram held Guangzhou last week and could be a surprise package this season. Jeju on the other hand lost with basically the final kick of the game. They lack a little moving forward and really can’t afford to drop points down in Thailand on Wednesday.
