A quick turnaround as the K League 1 has it’s second midweek round of the season. Round 9 features 6 interesting games, however the highlight game is the late clash between Gangwon FC and league leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai. Slightly briefer than normal Previews plus Predictions for all 6 games below;

K League 1: Wednesday April 25th 2018 Preview / Predictions

There are 6 games in the K League 1 on Wednesday Evening;

Jeonnam Dragons vs. FC Seoul (7.30pm)

The first game of the evening features bottom of the league Jeonnam Dragons and possible sleeping giant FC Seoul. Jeonnam haven’t win since the opening day of the season and were easily beaten at the weekend 4-1 against Gangwon. FC Seoul have start to slowly improve in recent weeks with 2 wins from 3 games. Therefore I see FC Seoul taking home the 3 points.

Prediction: 1 – 3

Pohang Steelers vs. Jeju United (7.30pm)

The next 7.30 kick features two sides looking to bounce back from home defeats at the weekend, Pohang Steelers and Jeju United. Pohang have only 1 win in their last 4 games, a slide in form that’s taken them out of the early title race. Jeju United have 7 points from their last 4 games, and can now focus on the league over their failed ACL campaign. This will be a close game and I see a draw in the end.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Ulsan Hyundai vs. Incheon United (7.30pm)

In game three on Wednesday evening is between fast improving Ulsan Hyundai and struggling Incheon United. Ulsan have found their feet in the K League in the past month with 10 points from their last 4 games. Incheon on the other hand have slumped losing their last 3 on the bounce including last minute defeats to both Sangju and Suwon. So Ulsan will be favorites to win this one.

Prediction: 3 – 1

Daegu FC vs. Sangju Sangmu (7.30pm)

11th placed Daegu will be looking for just their 2nd win of the season when they host unpredictable Sangju Sangmu. Daegu have only 1 win so far this season and have only scored 4 goals in those 8 games. Sangju Sangmu have been preforming a little better this season with 7 points from their last 4 games, which has pushed them up into the midtable places. So I see a narrow win for Sangju on Wednesday.

Prediction: 0 – 1

Suwon Bluewings vs. Gyeongnam FC (7.30pm)

The final 7.30 kick off is between two of the leading sides so far this season Suwon Bluewings and Gyeongnam FC. Suwon fought back at the weekend to record a 3-2 win over Incheon United, coupled with progression in the ACL it’s been a good few weeks for the Samsung club. Gyeongnam started the season strongly, however in recent weeks they’ve struggled with only 2 draws from their last 4 games. I see Suwon edging this one, but it will be close.

Prediction: 2 – 1

Gangwon FC vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai (8pm)

The final game of the mid-week round is between two top half sides Gangwon and Jeonbuk Hyundai. Gangwon stopped their poor run of form at the weekend winning for the first time in 5 games. Jeonbuk Hyundai have been the team to beat this season and have 7 wins from 8 games. It’s difficult to bet against Jeonbuk and I see them easing to a 2-0 win in this one.

Prediction: 0 – 2
