The World Cup starts in around 3 weeks time and South Korea are heading there as underdogs, with realistically only a small chance of making it beyond the group stages. However they have 4 warmup friendlies before setting foot onto the Russia World Cup soil. Here is the basic information;

South Korea Warmup Friendlies (World Cup 2018)

The four warmup friendlies for South Korea heading into the 2018 World Cup are as follows;

South Korea vs. Honduras – 8pm (May 28th)
The game takes place at the Daegu Stadium and it will be a good game to try out a few combinations and test out some of the fringe players. It will also serve as a good test with group game with Mexico coming up.

South Korea vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina – 8pm (June 1st)
This is the final home friendly before the squad heads to Europe. It’s being held at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium. It will  be the final chance for players to steak a claim to a spot in the final 23 man squad and maybe even a starting role. Finally it will be a nice test of European style play, similar to that of Sweden, who they meet in the group stages.

South Korea vs. Bolivia – tbc (June 7th)
This game will take place in Austria and will be an interesting test against South American opposition. It will help the squad stay match fit and also give another chance to test out some different tactics.

South Korea vs. Senegal – tbc (June 10th)
This game has been confirmed but no location has been set yet. With both sides heading to the World Cup, it will be the first test for the Korean squad against fellow World Cup level opposition. I’d expect to see a lot of the starting XI for the group game to play in this game. However with both sides a week away from their opening group games, it maybe a slow and boring friendly.
