Predictions World Cup 2018 Group Stage Games (Day 6 / June 19th-20th)

Columbia 1-1 Japan

Group H – Tuesday 9pm (Korea Time)

An interesting game to start the day between two nations expected to perform well. Columbia are always dangerous, but have issues at the back, whilst Japan are defensively strong but sometimes struggle in-front of goal. I see this ending in a draw.

Poland 2-1 Senegal

Group H – Wednesday 12am/Midnight (Korea Time)

Poland and Senegal have waited a long time to get their world cup campaigns underway. Poland could be a surprise package, with Robert Lewandowski leading the line. Senegal are slightly unknown at this level having not qualified since 1998. I see Poland coming out on top here.

Russia 1-0 Egypt

Group A – Wednesday 3am (Korea Time)

The late game is the beginning of the 2nd round of group stage games with hosts Russia taking on Egypt. Russia hammered Saudi Arabia in game one and will be looking to continue with that form. Egypt suffered a late defeat to Uruguay and therefore will need a result in this one. I see the hosts Russia having the edge here, sadly ending Egypt’s hopes.
