The World Cup knockout stages continue on Sunday with 2 more interesting games. 2012 Champions Spain take on hosts Russia, whilst an impressive looking Croatia face fellow Europeans Denmark.

Predictions World Cup 2018 Round of 16 (July 1st-2nd)
Spain 2 – 1 Russia
Round of 16 – Sunday 11pm (Korea Time)
The first of the days (third overall) round of 16 game is between 2012 Champions Spain and hosts Russia. Spain won group B ahead of Portugal, but 1 win and 2 draws wasn’t the most impressive record. Russia finished 2nd in group A beating Saudi Arabia and Egypt, but lost to Uruguay in the final group game.
I feel Spain will come out on top here, however as hosts Russia might spring a surprise.
Croatia 2 – 0 Denmark
Round of 16 – Saturday 3am (Korea Time)
The second game of the day is between Croatia and Denmark. Croatia impressively topped group D with a perfect record 3 from 3, scoring 7 and conceding just one. Denmark came second in group C behind France following a win over Peru and draws against Australia and France.
Based on the group stage performances Croatia are the favorites in this one.
