The AFC Champions League enters the semi final stage this week and we have just one K League side still in the competition, Suwon Bluewings. Suwon travel to Japan to face J-League side Kashima Antlers, who they’ve already played during the group stages and therefore know pretty well. Here are details on this Semi Final 1st leg game in the ACL2018;
Reminder that this season I’m taking a long streamlined approach to the ACL due to other commitments and therefore focuses just on Predictions, and only for games including K League sides. However I’ll try and link previews for other sites when possible.

Prediction: Kashima Antlers 1 – 1 Suwon Bluewings
Wednesday October 3rd 2018 – 1st Leg
The first leg can often be a close and defensive game, and that’s how I see this one playing out. In recent weeks Suwon have struggled a little in the league, but have however looked better in the ACL. Kashima Antlers made light work of Tianjin Quanjian in their quarter final and have won their last five J-League game on the bounce. So Kashima will be a tough nut to crack.
H2H in 2018; Suwon won 1-0 away, but lost 2-1 at home during the group stages. Highlights once again how even these sides are.
Overall I see this one ending in a 1-1 draw, with Suwon grabbing a vital away goal.
