The regular K League season has finished and now we can enjoy a little cup action. The Korean FA Cup Final is held over two legs (Wednesday then Saturday), and this year is between Ulsan Hyundai and Daegu FC. Here is a quick preview and prediction for the 1st leg;

The first leg is always a finding out process, these sides finished on either side of the league split so haven’t been playing the same opposition or each other for a month or so. The both finished their seasons strongly Ulsan winning two, drawing one and losing two of their post-split league games. Whilst Daegu where more impressive winning three and drawing two, finishing top of the bottom half.
So I see this being a close game on a chilly evening down on the South East Coast. In the end a draw seems the likely outcome setting up an interesting second leg on Saturday afternoon in Daegu.
Prediction: Ulsan Hyundai 1-1 Daegu FC
