A few years ago a craze for flavored Sojus past over South Korea with sells at times being as high as the regular Green bottles. However it quickly died down, but still the odd new flavor does appear from time to time. Not long ago I tried a Calamansi Soju. For those who don’t know, Calamansi is a citrus fruit from the Philippines similar to a lime. Here are the key details and my brief thoughts;

Name: 좋은데이 깔라만시
Size: 360ml
Alcoholic Percentage: 12.5%
Price: roughly 1600won

Producer: 좋은데이

Overall it’s very enjoyable and is a fresher alternative to Soju. It’s still pretty alcoholic, but you could enjoy a few bottles without any problems. It’s slightly sour but there isn’t a strong aftertaste so it’s easily drinkable. In the end it’s cheap and tasty. The clear bottle is different, but I personally prefer the green. Still well worth a go.
