It’s that time once again to look at the upcoming K League 1 season and predict the title challengers as well as the possible relegation candidates. This season is a tough one will so many sides looking equal on paper at this stage of pre-season. Plus with covid19 the number of pre-season games being limited, we’re a little in the dark about certain teams heading into the start of the season.

K League 1 – 2021 Prediction

Starting at the top you can’t look past Jeonbuk Hyundai once again, they continue to plug their small gaps and go from strength to strength.

Just behind them but still in the title race we have 2020 ACL winners Ulsan Hyundai, the unpredictable FC Seoul as well as ever improving Daegu FC. The mid-table could be made up of Pohang, Gangwon, Suwon Bluewings and recently promoted Suwon FC.

Towards the bottom we have ever struggling Incheon United, K League 2 champions Jeju United, Gwangju FC and sadly but finally Seongnam FC. Honestly any of these sides could be either relegated on final in the top half, it’s that close down at the bottom once again this season.

Of course things can quickly change and fans hopefully returning this season might boost a few sides into jumping up the table and doing surprising things. Exciting times ahead indeed.
